Don’t Take Risks With Asbestos
Asbestos is extremely difficult to recognise and poses a severe health risk to you and your family as well as those that live nearby your home if disturbed or removed incorrectly.
Handling asbestos must be done with great care due to it’s toxic properties including being a carcinogen. It’s important to know that when asbestos is in good condition, it does not usually present a hazard. However, worn or damaged asbestos poses a great risk to your health and safety as fibres may flake off and become airborne. At that point, it’s possible for anyone in the vicinity to inhale these toxic fibres, which become embedded in the chest. Years later, this can develop into serious asbestos-related diseases, such as asbestosis or mesothelioma.
